Happy Baby & Angry Baby

This weekend Erik and I decided that we were going to escape from the house and venture out with Oliver for the first time. We bundled up Oliver in the early morning and headed to New London to see the Sturgeon spawning on the river. It was great. Oliver was content and slept most of the time. When he would get fussy Erik would hit a couple of bumps in the road and Oliver would be fast asleep in no time.
Since this trip was such a success we decided to head on over to Menards in the afternoon and pick up a couple of thing for the yard, garden, and house. Again, it was a successful trip.Oliver slept and we got the things we needed. Well, we thought that since Oliver has been crabby every night between 6 and 11 we would take a car ride to Dairy Queen around 8 o'clock that night and hopefully Oliver would fall asleep and we could avoid the angry baby time. Well wouldn't you know it worked! Erik and I got home from Dairy Queen and we left Oliver sleeping  in his car seat and watched a movie together with no angry baby. We were marveling in the peace and quite and proud of ourselves for finally figuring out the little man, or so we thought.
When eleven o'clock (feeding time) came around we woke Oliver up and fed him. Then the peaceful, calm, cute baby turned into the WIDE awake, gassy, poopy diapered, ANGRY baby. Boy was it a long night. In the morning Erik and I looked like two walking zombies loading up on some caffeine to try and get our bodies functioning for the morning routine. We sure learned our lesson. Wake the baby up and let him have angry baby time so we can have some happy sleeping time!

This is a picture of the beginning phase of the angry baby. Notice Oliver's long nosed brother, Gunner in the background. Then if you look at the picture above Gunner is no where to be found. Gee, I wonder why?
